FEE SCHEDULES FOR WORKSHOPS AND LECTURES

WORKSHOP FEE: $500.00 per day; $300 per half day

  • Maximum class size - 20 students
  • Classes over 20 students - $25 additional per student (Maximum 30 students, depending on classroom size)
  • Most classes available in half day format

LECTURE FEE: $250.00 for one hour, plus Q&A

TRANSPORTATION: Full round trip airfare (or 48 cents per mile for round trip car expenses); parking fees and cab or shuttle fare to and from airport; airfare to be reimbursed at the conclusion of the engagement. Please allow me to arrange my flight plans, at the most economical rate, at least one month prior to the commencement of the engagement.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Full room and board expenses; preference for economy non-smoking motel/hotel accommodations, however, at the instructor’s discretion, private home accommodations with private room and private bath are acceptable; non-smoking accommodations only. The instructor is always dieting and prefers not to participate in large group dinners after the workshop.

  • Shipping fees for class materials and/or airline luggage fees to be reimbursed.
  • Workshop and lecture fees are to be paid immediately upon completion of last workshop or lecture.
  • Minimum two days workshop required, with or without lecture or when transportation requires air travel.
  • These fees remain in effect for any dates contracted beginning January 1, 2005.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR WORKSHOPS

  • Each student must have sufficient workspace including a table at least 36” x 6’ to 8’ long.
  • A design wall/space is needed for each participant---soft wall boards for pinning into---at least 4’(w) x 8’(h).
  • Adequate electrical outlets since all workshops are iron intensive; extension cords; irons; ironing boards; fans, if the workspace is hot.
  • A dark space with electrical outlets, for slide projection.
  • The teacher will need two worktables and two design walls.
  • The teacher will need a whiteboard and markers, with eraser, or large marker pad with easel.
  • The teacher will need a portable CD/Cassette player---preferably with good sound quality.
  • Other items as specified by the teacher beforehand (eg., VCR, monitor, etc.).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR LECTURES

The teacher will bring her own digital projector for slide presentation. Guild will provide a table, screen, podium and microphone, a heavy duty extension cord and power strip, as well as two tables for quilts and sales items. Teacher will bring quilts, patterns and her hand dyed fabrics for sale to the guild members and will donate a pattern to the guild for a door prize.

Please print out and sign this Fee Schedule and return a copy with your contract to indicate that you and your organization agree to the above and to indicate that you have read and can provide the items listed under Physical Requirements on the class description and lecture sheets.
